Reese Witherspoon Sells Her Pacific Palisades Home
The Little Fires Everywhere star’s East Coast traditional was on the market for three years

After a little over three-and-a-half years on the market, Reese Witherspoon’s elegant home in L.A.’s Pacific Palisades neighborhood has finally found a buyer. According to Variety, the multihyphenate actress and her husband, Quibi executive Jim Toth, recently sold their longtime home to automobile accessories heiress Robin Formanek and her husband, John Cianciolo, for $17 million.
Witherspoon and Toth purchased the home—then unfinished—for $12.7 million in 2014, and spend a substantial amount to upgrade the 10,300-square-foot residence. Because it was never listed on the open market, there aren’t a whole lot of details that have been made public, though Witherspoon did open her doors to Vogue during a 2014 “73 Questions” interview. What is known is that the two-story dwelling was designed by celebrity-favorite architect Ken Ungar in an East Coast traditional style and comprises five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Photos the Big Little Lies star has shared to social media over the years have revealed her home to be sunny and cozy, with a front living room that boasts an entire wall of built-in bookshelves piled with everything from family photos to award statues, as well as stacks of hardbound scripts for films like 2014’s Wild or 2005’s Walk the Line. The dining room is perfect for entertaining, with a spiky-edged chandelier hanging from the ceiling and a long wooden table that easily seats eight. The kitchen is like something out of a magazine, with white subway tile backsplash, gray-blue cabinets, and a large white marble-topped center island.
In addition to the recently sold Pacific Palisades property, Witherspoon also owns a $6.25 million Malibu ranch, which she picked up last year, as well as several homes in Nashville.
